I recently suffered a gearbox failure whilst riding that left me stuck in 5th gear. This is on a 2.5 year old bike with 8k miles, never raced or really worked that hard.
It was left with my local dealer to diagnose which they say probably needs a full gearbox rebuild with various new parts.
Ducati have said, as a ‘goodwill’ gesture they will cover the parts which leaves me with an estimated £3k labour cost to pick up. Not what I expected from a £25k bike?
Anyone with a similar experience ? I would appreciate hearing about it.
