Over the winter I decided that I did not want a plain Ducati V4, and I did not want to go sticker replica of anything, so I decided that I would try something a bit different and Plastidipped the bike.. I still need to do the front fender and possibly re-wrap the fuel tank,(first time wrapping anything I don't think it is horrible, but definitely could be refined quite a bit.
1) It is fairly cheap
2) It is removable
3) they had a color that I was pretty fond of, way different than my usual translucent blue
4) Its just for fun and something to do

I finally got the bike back together and on the road this past weekend, we have only had a few decent days of riding here in northern Indiana, so i have not missed much..

Note the fuel cap area, too short on the coverage and wrinkled, I guess i though the fender and battery cover would cover more, ooops

Not a bad look.

I especially like how it still retains the Duc's premium styling although I think a bit of gloss could help.

Hopefully we see more customized V4's with how easy it is to get vinyl and/or plasti dip done professionally.

I put on a decal set from Vulturbike, it's hard but definitely worth it

And the collection :

I hear you on the gloss, I have a very big item to go on that is gloss, and I am thinking of getting some ducati stickers made along with some other graphics done in a gloss finish, just something to set it off, plus to hide where the ducati emblems outlines show through the plasti dip and vinyl..
So many ways to go about it as well, but not represented that well within the riding community. Come time to do it myself, I will look to the exotic car communities out there for inspiration.
Nice colour. Reminds me of Iron Man with the metallic silver and magnesium - and I mean that in a complimentary way. It really suits the bike's aggressive demeanor. The matching golf bag is a nice touch. I assume you sling that over your back while riding to the course. :)
Personally , I like the matte finish ! It looks amazing if you ask me . One of the main reasons I didn’t want this Panigale 4vs was the red color. I’ve owned a bunch of Ducati bikes and none of them up until now have been red ..... most all of them have been black . Last one being 2014 Ducati 1199s Panigale stealth . They just look way more mean in my opinion and way less flashy . Harder to differentiate for the police as well.... all a big plus in my book . Wraps are a nice way to be able to get the best of both worlds ....
