Donovan Fourie from The Bike Show was at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia for the press launch of the new Panigale V4 and while taking a turn, the guy in front got their gloves hooked onto the brake lever and went straight while entering a turn. Managed to take Donovan out as well and luckily they're both fine. Even got a neat souvenir from the crash. Guess this just shows us crashes can happen when you least expect it.
Was wondering how long it would be before we saw our first V4 dropped. Luckily it looks like it was relatively minor and no one was injured. Not sure if its a bragging point to be the first person to remove fairings from the V4 aha.
From the article, it seems like they're both fine aside from a few bruises. So ATGATT for the win!
It's not as bad when you drop a V4 that's not yours and the Ducati reps seemed fine about it, but I can;t imagine how you'd feel if it was your own bike. That would be devastating!
Great to see Ducati being so understanding, and funny that they gave away the fairing as an "award". Its even got signatures all over it as a piece of memorabilia. Cool to hear from the riders themselves on what they think lead to the accident.
