I just watched his video and did some recon on my bike which is the v4s . He is spot on on the bike . Rear is hard as a rock and front is soft as heck. I love the way I feel on the bike now . I have about 2800 miles on it . I weight about 170 lbs without here . I’m going to follow his adjustments accordingly and go see how this thing feels and report back ASAP!
Ps I paid for $40 bucks for full access and I’m very glad I did

I also paid for access to the Moss site and also glad I did. I took most of the preload out of the back and that helped the bike a lot. I am 190 with no gear. I also added some preload in the front.

Did you add the preload in the computer? or on the top of the front forks manually ? Or both? If both please detail if possible . I ask because in the video it seemed like he only played with the electronics but showed how to adjust on the fork tops.... thanks

yeah preload is manually set, front is pretty much all the way out to begin w/ like 1 1/2 turn out and it's max. It's standard adjustments like any. But luckily the rear has plenty of room to adjust. I'm going to take more out on the rear for me; even at 15-20lbs lighter than the spring rated for it feels much better and stable for me. The front though not much I can do but respring it :(

So I just adjusted the suspension setting to what Dave has going on in the video .... I’m about 172 lbs with no gear on so I happen to fall into that weigh category almost perfectly. I would have to say I saw a huge improvement in the handling or the bike over what I had to set to stock. The front end seems way more stable and turns so much better . The rear of the bike seemed almost foreign to me as now it actually moves . I guess I just took the stock super hard feel so what I was used to but this bike rides way nicer now. The biggest change was in the front end feel for me . It feels so much some stable and solid under cornering and braking . Feeling the rear actually absorb the bumps was a new feeling as well. I would def recommend checking this guy out . Forth the $40 bucks for sure !!!!

Has anyone changed the fork oil, as Dave Moss recommends ? I'm about to do so - it's $400 AUD to do it here, though some shops will charge $900 to do it.

Haven’t touched the fork oil on my S . Suspension is operating just fine in the mid stroke and I don’t personally feel the need to do it but ? Maybe I’ll do it when the forks need service . Say in about 2500 more miles .

It’s a video from I believe April of 2018. It’s dave Moss going thru a 2018 Panigale v4s. If you’re living in the states text me at(413) 329-4974. It would be easier then going back and forth over the forum to get you the information you’re looking for

OK so I bit the $400 price tag and have changed the fork oil to 10W. I haven't done a really big test ride but the bike does feel like it rides well over Sydney's bumpy roads, at low/medium and high speed. I'll head to the track in a week or 2 and see how it feels there next.

What are you using for oil height?

Same as standard. Feels good so far - much better balanced than earlier. Hoping to take it out on track this weekend and test it properly, though the weather is good here in Sydney so I'm on the waitlist for the track session.
