Yes, a motorcycle will win in drag races simply because of how light the things are which contributes to rapid acceleration, but who doesn't like watching these drag races anyways?
For anyone wondering 'why field a two tonne-plus luxury limo against one of the most focussed, fastest road-legal bikes ever built?' Well... We had the car, we had the runway, and it just so happened that Performance Bikes magazine turned up on the same day to test the Panigale. So we thought, 'why not?'

This is the best loss a car can take when facing a bike but put them on a road course track and the car gets demolished, first few turns can do some real damage.
This video was posted quite awhile ago, and I'm not sure who was actually interested in this head to head. At least put it up against a supercar and make the race interesting.
Here's a somewhat new one from a few days ago. Still not a supercar, but the Audi R8 is nice though it still lost to the V4. What would you like to see it go up against?

I have to say that I'm starting to become a fan of these nonsense races that Autocar has been doing as of late. Not too surprised as the results however. I think the only real vehicle that could give it a run for its money would be a Tesla.
A time attack race would be cooler to see because that involves different strengths of both especially once you have the right vehicle, one that is known to do well in turns and still do well on going all out in the straights.
Well there are plenty of other super cars they could have considered instead of the R8. I would imagine the race would be much closer against the new Huracan or the 570 McLaren. A P100D would definitely have similar acceleration off the line, but I don't think it would maintain the momentum throughout the 1/4 mile...the new roadster however.

I was thinking something more along the lines of a Nissan GT-R or even. The Aventador S would be cool too, it might be heavy but packs a lot of power and has four wheel steer.
