Hello fellow v4 owners, I am trying to replace the stock handlebar on my v4 and noticed a pin inside the tube, anyone knows how to remove this pin, do i need any special tools to get it out?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I’ve replaced bars on other Ducati’s and those pins are to set the controls back in place . In my experience you can’t remove them . You just have to put the controls in place and tighten them down ... the pins are like a set point for the stock controls . If I’m off on this let me know but I’ve replaced bars on a 1098 and a multistrada and they were both the same set pin for control locations

Thanks for your insight, i have also removed the stock handlebar on a 1098 and it was super easy but on the panigale v4 the metal pin is preventing me from removing the stock handlebar, there must be a way to get it out, will do some more research and try different tools to see if it works.

I’m just curious at this point . Where’s the pin located and how is it preventing you from removing the bars ... thanks for the info in advance .

here is a diagram showing the pin/spring #8 and #9 (Part Numbers 86150331A & 86050171A)
The first thing I do when I get any new bike is knock all these pins out and position the controls my body.

Hammer, punch and pliers should do the job.
thanks i was able to get them out using a needle nose pliers, dont know why ducati uses these pins but i was able to replace these pins with the same size screw so they are now much easier to remove the next time.
