2020 Ducati V4 vs Yamaha R1

Hi guys
I’m actually inclined towards buying a new ducati pannigale V4.
1)I was wondering if someone could enlighten me about the pros and cons between owning a ducati v4 and yamaha R1
2) I see that ohlin’s suspension is the major upgrade from V4 to v4s and also yamaha R1 to R1M. So if I’m gonna use it just as daily runner but not at all on the track does getting an S version or M version matters?
Thanks to all in advance.

I just traded my Yamaha for the v4 and i could not be happier go with the base model if you are using it as a daily runner. It already has more power than you can safely use on the street and the other versions just add race parts that don’t add much for street performance
Appreciate the response.
May i know what made you feel v4 better than Yamaha R1 keeping in mind both produce almost equal power? @Tiredandirtysoldier
The V4S with the ohlins is the way to go regardless of it you’re tracking it or daily driving it in my opinion. Suspension makes all the difference on this bike and the ohlins is amazing . Spend the money

A bunch of reasons but biggest is its a ducati and has been a dream of mine to own one. Second the electronic package has more behind it and I'd better at doing what it's designed to do I'm not a big track guy like I was in my youth but even with all the safety on I personally like the way the v4 Handles I feel like the yamaha is a notch below abut that's a personal opinion not based on any data but my own experience on them both
Sorry for the delayed response let me know what you went with

I owned a 2015 R1 and absolutely loved it. Lots of bike for the money. Great handling bike. Lots of power as well. I was going to get either the V4S or M and just wanted a different bike and ended with SP🤣 Cant go wrong with either. Ducati is a Ducati, unique experience, neckbraker and amazing overall bike. I would and did go with S, Ohlins suspension is amazing. Settings work flawlessly. Marchesini wheels makes a great difference on turns and canyons for sure.
