Exposed wires

I rode the bike yesterday and noticed some exposed wires in the area near the clutch lever. I took the bike to the dealership today and got one of the service guys to look at it. He said this was because they cut the sheath for the wires short at the factory. They attempted to fix it, but when I got home home it was as bad as before. I should have looked at one of the bikes inside, this cannot be right. The service guy said this was in spec. Iím starting to get a bit upset with this service department...

That is normal if a little shoddy. Best solution is to by some FABRIC electrical tape and wind it tightly around the nylon sleeving and then the exposed wires, up to a point that you are happy with. Don't use standard electrical tape as it looks bad and is a cheap and dirty fix.

This is the stuff you need and what I use:
