New V4S Owner Saying Hello From Texas

Hello everyone. I am very new to this forum and the whole Ducati experience. I purchased a 2019 Ducati V4S almost a month ago now and I absolutely love the bike. I must say, I donít know what all the fuss is about regarding the V4ís not sounding like the vTwins, I personally think the new V4ís sound absolutely wicked and better in my opinion. I bought my V4S heading into the cooler months of Texas, that really doesnít mean a great deal, but I have yet to find the heat issue an actual issue; my butt is not frying by the end of the ride, so I am good. Iím 6í5 and I find the V4S a very comfortable ride for cruising, touring, and definitely opening wide open throttle. The only complaint I initially had was throttle bite way too early and an inability to find neutral; all of the problems listed went away with little warmth from driving expanding the metal in the gearbox and warming up the clutch plates and maybe fluid. I really have no complaints as of this moment. Absolutely amazing bike. Even very well behaved, heat wise, in Texas stop and go traffic.
So, Iím a happy customer. Great bike and glad I didnít go with the BMW.

Let me know when how you feel after doing 800+klm's in 2 days touring how your butt feels it may not sound like allot of K's to some but I find the stock seat lacks padding understanding it is basically a road racing bike, the limited fuel range is another issue just have to plan your route. Also let us know how you feel in 40+ degree Celsius heat in city traffic those rear cylinders will do what they do to us all cook you well. I have just ordered a comfort seat for my 2018 V4 S like I have on my 2012 1199 Tricolore makes a whole heap of difference.

The bike is awesome handling and death grip straightline acceleration though I'm on my 2nd set of Corsa II's at 12000Klm with just road riding some spirited but for the most just average fooling around.
I am looking at Rizoma rear sets to get the pegs a bit lower as I am no Agostini or Doohan so the lower peg height wont be an issue as I am not tracking the bike I was looking at the full Akro system but at $9,900/Aud plus nearly 2 days to fit for the extra H.P I think the rear sets are a better investment.

Glad youíre loving it! Yeah I find the most complaints about the bike come from riding it for longer periods like a sport touring bike, which this is obviously not. Itís a race bike with lights 😜
