Picking up new 2018 V4S this week!

Hello everyone, I've been on here trying to get an education on this awesome new bike, before picking it up this week.
I've been riding for many years, starting with dirt bikes, Honda trail 50, Honda trail 70, Honda XR75, Honda CR125 motocross racing, in the late 1970's, riding sport bikes, starting in 1978 with a Kawasaki Z1R 1000, then a 1982 Yamaha Seca 650 Turbo, then to true sport bikes: 2001 GSXR, 2003 GSXR1000, 2004 Yamaha R1, 2009 BMW K1300S, and will be riding my new Ducati Panigale V4S this week. Looking back, I've had so many fun rides, and now with the new V4S it will be the most amazing ride so far. Almost overwhelming, with all the different settings. I'm sure to enjoy it, and thanks for so much information here to learn what I can about this bike. I'm not getting any younger, and this will probably be my last sport bike, and plan on thoroughly enjoying it!

Congrats on getting your V4.

Have you started looking into accessories and/or modifications to get?
Hard not to notice all that's being done to V4's on this board!

Congrats Tom! I picked mine up end of last week. So far I've done engine sliders, sliders on both wheels, bar ends, deleted mirrors and replaced with flip/bar end ones, front and rear LED signals/fender eliminators, and I think that's it. And I got front and rear stands.

Really researching exhaust right now, they are STEEP! That and the wife just picked up a Vespa this week to cruise around with her sister at the beach...so needless to say the budget is tightening quick!

@fosterelli which sliders did you get? I'm a bit concerned on how much they can take away from the V4's beautiful aesthetics.

Thanks!

I've got Rizomas on my 1199S but I went to R&G for the V4S.

I have the Sato Racing engine sliders, CRG Arrow mirrors, Motovation bar ends, and Speedymoto front & rear wheel sliders/stand lifts.

Nice.
Seen them originally on Sato's site and been sold ever since seeing good reviews to back them up.

Thanks for Sato tip. I see the Sato rear axle sliders still allow a single-arm rear bike stand to be used (using an 858 pin). I need to buy a rear stand when I get the v4 for chain maintenance and rear wheel removal - so single sided stand seems best option - but most rear axle sliders are not hollow. Sato looks ideal.
