The V4 From It's Designer

Hey guys, so I stumbled across an article about Julient Clement, the designer behind the V4 and his journey from early sketches to what we're seeing come to market. There some pretty cool pictures that show the design process and reasons behind the various components and features found on the bike. For anyone who's curious about how it all started, have a look. https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/w...ketches#page-3

Really neat article, thanks for sharing! Its always cool to get some history behind a bike and its obviously a lot of engineering and time went into this bike since it was first sketched back in 2015. Really goes to show how complicated of a process it is to design simple pieces/elements of a machine.

Too bad there was no mention of what might happen in the future because I think they could use different body panel materials on higher end bikes like this. Exposed carbon fiber panels to some extent would be great.

Lol the V4 hasn't even reached dealerships for the most part and you already want a look into what's coming next? As I'm sure the V4 will sell extremely well, seeing as how highly its being praised in early previews, I'm sure Ducati wont disappoint with its next generation of models.

There's still room for them to grow especially if you look at whats happening elsewhere, so its not impractical to expect more from them. For all we know as I type this out Ducati is preparing to show off something very soon. The industry is very competitive these days which plays into the growth i'm anticipating.

If anything I think it would be a good move by Ducati to bring out a higher performance entry level bike, similar to what were seeing with the new Ninja 400. I know typically that Ducati only delves into the higher output bikes, but I think there's a market for something less than 600cc's. The problem is, that I don't know if they could match on the price points that we're seeing out of entry bikes from other manufacturers.
